Fall has fully arrived in Colorado, as the aspen have turned. A five-mile hike on Sunday in Emerald Valley yielded plenty of natural beauty and photos, starting with a single tree surrounded by evergreens.
But there was more to see as we gained elevation.
And despite the drought which has stressed the trees, in places the trail had plenty of color.
And finally a meadow gave us great views of mountainside aspen groves.
That's my part of Our World Tuesday.

Oh, how beautiful, Al!! Fall has definitely arrived in your part of the world! Wonderful captures as always! As I look out my window this morning and can see touches of yellow in the many trees surrounding the complex! Hope your week is off to a great start!! Pats for Socks from Sam and I!!

all lovely, but my fave is of the meadow; I think I felt a bit claustrophobic in the others!
ReplyDeleteFall is one of the disappointments I see in blogs, especially when the reds are already there, a mountainful of colors! That is because I haven't seen fall in person, my travels to temperate climes always fall on spring, reason I dream seeing Fall.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of fall colors.

ReplyDeleteWe took a family vacation to Colorado this summer back in June- my first time there outside of the airport.. We stayed in Breckenridge & explored the surrounding areas. So beautiful! I enjoyed the wild flowers that were just coming in at that time of year. http://ourfunwithfive.blogspot.com/2012/06/family-vacation-colorado.html
