I'm so far behind that I'm just getting to last year's San Francisco vacation, but luckily I don't have that many shots from it. I'll start with a couple of classic sights.
Yes, it's Alcatraz. We didn't get to the island but I did snap a couple of shots from a boat ride we took.
And of course you've got to see the famous cable cars.
I love those hilly streets!

Last time we were in S.F. we wanted to take the Cablecar, but the line was so long we just walked. It was much faster.
ReplyDeleteAmazing place to visit!Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteI visited for the first time last year and loved the city. Great photos of the cable cars.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful San Francisco! It has been way too long for us! And Al, it's really good to have so many beautiful things to blog about that you get behind on posting. (Of course you live in Paradise, so beauty is around you every day!) And everything you post is new to us even if it was a long time ago for you.... so keep it up!!!
ReplyDeleteI love San Francisco and would like to go back. Love the cable cars.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Al! I still love San Francisco, but the last two times I went up there, I was amazed at how many homeless people are everywhere downtown. I would feel bad, but so many of them were brazen and pushy.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about getting behind. I was already so far behind before our recent trip, now I'm buried...
Looks charming!
ReplyDeletewonderful place to visit!

We used to enjoy visiting San Francisco when we lived in California. An easy way for us was to fly our small plane into Oakland, get a ride up to the BART and ride into town. From there we could walk and enjoy the city without the need for a car. - Margy
ReplyDeleteClang, clang, clang! I lived in the City once upon a time. I'm glad I did. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe View from the Top of the Ladder
I'd like to come there, one day!!! Nice shots. Best regards.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. They remind me of the steep hills which for me now would be very difficult to navigate. Like you I did not tour Alcatraz but took photos from the boat.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Al! San Francisco sounds a wonderful city!
ReplyDeleteLove the cable car photo!
Enjoy your blog break!
Hugs!
