Annular Solar Eclipse

We happened to be driving to Albuquerque on Sunday (more on this brief but long road trip later), and of course I had to pull off the road to see the annular solar eclipse, which was fully visible from our location. I don't have the right equipment to get worthwhile photos but I did manage to get a couple that I want to post.
This was one of the most amazing natural things I've ever seen in my life, and I wish my photographs did it justice. And it's an obvious choice for my Skywatch Friday post.

  1. But I'm so glad you posted what you did see. Here in Florida nothing showed up at all.

  2. Your photos are superb, Al! How wonderful to be able to see the eclipse! As you know, it wasn't visible in the northwest, but it was raining anyway, so we would have missed it regardless! Your photos are the next best thing anyway!! Hope your week is going well!

  14. Oh, I think your pics are great. It was way too low on the horizon in Oklahoma so I missed out on it.
