Final Fall Fox Run Photos

Here are the last of my fall photos from nearby Fox Run Park.
This was early October and the leaves were past their best, but they qualify for the Orange Friday meme.
This reflection is for the Weekend Reflections meme.
It's a shame that people feel the need to carve into the trees, they probably don't understand the damage they're doing. Or they don't care.
I'm linking the last photo to Guest Heart Thursday, and it's also a Scenic Sunday post.

  1. What a beautiful place, Al! I love the Fall colors and the wonderful reflections on the still, still water! It is a shame to see all the carvings on trees everywhere these days and it is obvious that the people who do this are, as you wrote, ignorant of the damage or don't care! Unfortunately, it's more likely that they just don't care! Hope you and Socks have a great weekend! Do give him a pat for Sam and I!

  3. So fun to see the autumn at your surroundings, so beautiful leaves, beautiful photos also! :)

yes, it's bad they have to hurt the trees like that, I can hear trees crying.. :/

Wish you a happy weekend! :)

  4. Oops, I forgot to push the button! Really like the cheerful and bright orange leaves:) And I think that they don't know they're doing damage to the tree when they carve their heart!

  5. Prayers for your friend with cancer. Your fall shots are lovely! We didn't actually make it to high 30s...only mid-40s. It's just so amazing when it starts getting cold here at night in the desert. It was in the 90s during the day all this past week. I hope it goes back to the 70s again soon! :-)

  16. You are right Al, you should have seen my older post about cruelty to plants! And people here are not that concerned, even the supposed to be authorities in urban landscaping build cement sidewalks just around trees which really suffocates them!

  17. Sorry it took so long to comment ... I too hate it when I find trees that have been carved up. Even if a heart is the result!

Autumn colors are among some of my favorite memories of Colorado - these shots bring back so many good times!
