Hello, Al--these beach photos are wonderful. I am fortunate in that I live 45 minutes from the beach, and hour from the mountains, and an hour and a half from the desert. :D Oregon is a wonderful place.
Your pictures of the beach in California make me long to hop into my car and head for the beach. Have a lovely day, my Friend.
Avila Beach is one of my favorite coastal towns in California. It is low profile so not a lot of people go there. You can find a place to stay or a place to camp even on holiday weekends. #OurWorldTuesday
Hi Al, you said you love being near the ocean, but why are you living on the mountains? hahaha. I love those pictures too, but i prefer the trees than the water.
Beautiful beach and one I'm not at all familiar with.... I guess somebody in your family used to live there but have now moved? You could still visit even without an excuse you know ;>)... I don't think it is a California requirement.
You certainly do have have some great photos to look back on. We both have posts on Avila Beach today. What are the odds of that happeneing? Slimski to Nunski!
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment - I love reading them and look forward to viewing your blog. If you only allow Google+ comments I won't be able to leave a comment in return.
Born in London, I've lived in The Netherlands, New York, and Washington DC. Now I've settled down in Colorado and love taking pictures. Until October 2014 I used a Nikon D40X, but now it's a Nikon D5300. I do almost no photo editing - occasionally I will crop or remove a dust spot, but that's all. What comes out of the camera is what you see here.

Wonderful beach to spend a quiet time.
ReplyDeleteI lived by the Atlantic Ocean for most of my life so I know how you feel, Al. An ocean visit and good seafood is always a welcome activity.
ReplyDeleteSo relaxing and pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt look so peaceful I would not mind relaxing on the sand with a good book...PERFECT CAPTURE!
ReplyDeleteYou don't need any excuse to visit the ocean. I am a city girl but I have to visit the sea every few months. Your photos are a close second though.
