One of my favorite places in Vancouver is the Capilano Suspension Bridge, even though it's a little touristy.
It's suspended high above a chasm, I hope you're not afraid of heights!
It was rainy and misty the whole time we were there, but that meant I had to find places where the mysterious feeling would come through more strongly. (And shield my camera as best I could, as it's not a professional weatherproof model - it's been through a lot more than it was designed for!)
This is my Scenic Sunday post for the week - join me on Monday for some views from the bridge. And I'm also entering it in Sunday Bridges, as it's a wonderful pedestrian bridge.

A lovely bridge and chasm indeed. We did not have the time to play on it while we were there.

wow - i think, i would not like to walk on it :)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful place!! And your captures are superb, Al, as always! The mist and light fog make for a mysterious setting! Delightful! Have a wonderful weekend! Give Socks a pat for Sam and I!

Nice photos, Al. I am not a big fan of the Cap Suspension Bridge as it is so overpriced, but your photos are great. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend! Cheers, Dani

Very scenis, great nature. I love heights. It's good to sometimes change the view.
ReplyDeletefabulous pictures!! The pictures are so good I get scared looking at them!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun walk! Beautiful surroundings.
ReplyDeletewow!!!! my husband and brothers better not be there when I am there, the beggars would shake so much that the brdige would wobble so much that I can't move a step, and that was an even shorter bridge.
ReplyDeleteWow Al,
ReplyDeletequesta è un'altezza veramente da mozzarti il fiato !!!!
Bellissima visuale :)

Hi Al, amazing place, I was there 6 years ago... wonderful I wanna go back again
ReplyDeleteI've seen the sign on Highway 1 but have never stopped. With my fear of heights I don't think I would get very far across. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI've crossed that bridge!!
ReplyDeleteI like the shots in the fog.
Would love o explore that area. Wouldn't want to see any Lightning strikes near that bridge LOl
ReplyDeleteWow, if the bridge is as sturdy as this one, I wouldn't mind, lol!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful -- I'm not afraid and I'd walk it, but I'm not showing this post to Bill. It's not so much heights he's afraid of as the fact that he never quite trusts the suspension bridge builders!
ReplyDeleteI've been there! It's fantastic! Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so fabulous that my legs are trembling now!! I feel already as if I was on the bridge, but I am badly afraid of heights. I hope you did not have any rain, lightning or thunder here.
ReplyDeleteI love especially the first photo. I have not seen such a long, long suspension bridge of this type!! You captured amazing sceneries !! Great shots!
