Snowy Sunday

We had another 8 inches (20 cm) of snow Saturday night. We're not complaining - after an almost completely dry March it's great to have some moisture in April, and it makes for nice Skywatch Friday photos! All these photos were taken in our yard early Sunday morning.
It doesn't take long for the clouds to break up after these storms.
And before you know it, those classic Colorado blue skies are back!
The timing was perfect, the fertilizer I put on the lawn on Saturday will have soaked in!

  1. I do love snow and blue skies! Such beautiful captures, Al! I love the shadows on the snow and the branches bending under the weight! Wonderful! Hope your week is going well!

  2. An absolutely perfect -- and perfectly beautiful -- representation of Colorado's weather. Snow does make the grass greener even without the fertilizer. Lovely pictures.

  5. Wonderful landscape. I live in south of Italy where it's warm in this period but this April is rainy and very cold. The weather has become fool. Bye bye.

  6. Perfect snowy shots, Al. We're seeing ground around the house and no snow in town. Maybe we'll get some overnight, but we're too dry for spring here in the mts.
