Views From Capilano Suspension Bridge

One of the must-visit places in Vancouver is the Capilano Suspension Bridge (although it is a little pricey and touristy). For Tina's PicStory theme of "from above", and for Our World Tuesday, here are a couple of photos taken while standing on the bridge on a rainy day.
Yes, that's my foot in the last one, as I'm leaning out over the railings. Those are trees below!

  6. The trees and scenery is gorgeous. I have always loved the beautiful forest on the west coast. The view from the bridge is cool too. Thanks for sharing, have a great day!

  7. I like the clouds streaming through the tops of the trees and last photo does a spectacular job of showing how high you were standing. The perspective gives a bit of a stomach lurch, though! :)

  9. That is quite a drop! No matter how rugged it looks below, from this perspective the beauty of nature cannot be paralleled. Happily, the railing/fence is high enough to keep most photo artists out of real trouble...

  13. ahhh.. shit... uh.. sorry! =/ but you sort of frightened me with your last photo! True! I really felt it in my head, as I have fear of heights.. :D

But oh, these awesome photos of the river and the trees in the forest! It's like I can feel and smell the fresh air of wood!! =)

    Love it! :)

  14. Good heavens... when did they start charging to cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge? I lived close to it many decades ago and there were usually few people around. But I'd have to agree, it's great for a thrill and a good view, even in the rain.
