Here's a vintage 1976 slide, scanned and cropped by me, taken near Leiden. I love all the water in Holland, it's one of the things I miss living in a dry climate.
Beautiful capture! I, too, loved all the water in Holland and wanted to go back! And it was the best thing about Seattle!! But, I'm not that far from water even here in Portland, so I can't complain!! Hope your weekend is going well, Al!
Netherlands :-) cos that's what anyone coming from Holland insists upon :-) Beautiful as always Al.. we have windmills here in the Southwest too. One just up the road... :-) probably made into a holiday home for some one who comes from Surrey.. there is a pun in that :-) I know you will click/understand :-) Saying that, yep, Holland :-) Great when you can actually visit and not fly by on the main road or a day trip to Amesterdam.. Great Day :-) :-) Fantastic photo Al.... Boat in it especially. oh, your good :-) :-) :-) x x x
It really is different from CO isn't it...you've made huge changes as far as places go. Beautiful scan...you inspire me to try to scan some of my photos (not that I have such beautiful places to work with).
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment - I love reading them and look forward to viewing your blog. If you only allow Google+ comments I won't be able to leave a comment in return.
Born in London, I've lived in The Netherlands, New York, and Washington DC. Now I've settled down in Colorado and love taking pictures. Until October 2014 I used a Nikon D40X, but now it's a Nikon D5300. I do almost no photo editing - occasionally I will crop or remove a dust spot, but that's all. What comes out of the camera is what you see here.
