Continuing to explore the San Fernando Mission, here are some photos of the Convento building. This is the only original building remaining in the mission, built between 1808 and 1822, and it contains many fascinating artifacts.
It used to be the priests' residence, but is basically a museum at this point.
There were several signs indicating important people who had visited, including the Pope if I remember correctly.

Nice photos of the San Fernando mission, Al. It was not one we visited --I think we saw 9 out of the 21 still remaining. The statutes and room are beautiful!
