Final Fall Foliage

In my world, fall is quickly coming to an end and winter will be here before long. Here are the last shots of colored fall foliage in my area.

These shots were all taken on a Saturday hike up the Palmer Lake Reservoirs trail.
Most of the leaves are already gone.
Still, by picking carefully it was possible to find an occasional impressive tree.
The My World Tuesday meme contains links to many interesting and fun blog posts.

  4. You seem to have a short, sharp autumn. Here we still have many green trees.
Between the vibrant blue sky and the glowing leaves autumn in your part of the world looks a cause for celebration.

  6. Still beautiful, though! We had a hot, dry summer and many of the leaves fell before cool weather brought out the color.

  16. We are just reaching peak color but it won't be long before the trees are bare and that white stuff starts piling up.
