We've had a beautiful week here, so I'm putting up a couple of pictures I took yesterday. There were just a few light clouds when I took the dog for a walk, nothing impressive.
So I went into the almost-dry creek bed behind the house and took pictures of the sun reflecting off the stagnant water, with a little ice still left over.
We may get up to a foot of snow tomorrow, so there may be some more snow pictures for next week. In the meantime, visit the Skywatch Friday site for a wide variety of skies around the world.

Palmer Lake Reservoirs
We've had fog and drizzle for a couple of days, but it finally cleared off this morning. So I went for a hike, this time on the Palmer Lake Reservoirs trail, as shown on the first picture looking back towards town.
As do a lot of these trails, this one climbs into the mountains next to a pretty stream, which is currently flowing with some strength because of all the recent rain and snow.
After a little while the trail runs by the first reservoir.
And it continues to climb to the second, larger reservoir.
There are numerous little streams running into these small lakes.
And it's clear that they don't want people in the water!
As I type up this post it has started raining again, so I'm glad I got out this morning.

Road To Black Canyon
After the Dunes we drove to the Black of the Gunnison. On the way we stopped by this pretty little mountain stream.
Along the road we saw this thunderstorm formation ahead of us - the classic anvil shape is very obvious here.
