I just got back from a short trip to California - I took a few photos but it was mainly to see family. Instead, for this week's Vintage Weekly entry, here's a shot from Wiesbaden, Germany, from 1977.

As you can see, it's a beautiful area.

Pfalzgrafenstein Castle

The only notes I have on this 1976 slide from Germany say "De Pfalz." But a quick internet search turns up an article about what turns out to be Pfalzgrafenstein Castle, which was started in 1326!

Rudesheim

For this week's Sunday Scans, here's a photo that I think was taken in the beautiful German town of Rudesheim, way back in 1974 when I was a kid, although it may be from another town since my records aren't perfect going back almost 40 years.

That's all from this Germany trip, but I have photos from other trips to Germany that I need to sort through. Next week we're off to the Mediterranean!
