Strange Summer Light

This week's Skywatch Friday post captures a couple of strange skies on one evening back in July - these photos are cropped, but in no other way edited, and were taken from our back deck. The colors and clouds really were this strange.

The clouds and light are amazing! The second photo looks like it could be the cover of a thriller novel. You sure do get a lot of different weather out there!

Looks like the house with the solar panels might be getting a bit more electricity than they bargained for.

Beautiful captures, with the first one being my favourite. The way you've captured the rays of sunlight through the clouds is quite special.

You take such fantastic storm shots, Al. That sky is a beautiful canvas. Any snow on the ground there now?

How dramatic! I feel like that I'm seeing scenes of a film in that landscape, but this is real. Though dark tone, I still think the grayish-blue or purplish sky is beautiful.
