Monnow Bridge

This entry qualifies for the Vintage Weekly meme in several ways. It's an old scanned print from 1975. And the Monnow Bridge is certainly vintage, having been completed in 1272 (although the gatehouse was completed a few decades later).
And I'd guess that it will be one of the oldest entries for Sunday Bridges this week.

  4. I see you've labelled this "England" although Monmouth is actually in "Wales".

  5. I don't think I can find an old bridge in all my collection. I have been singing and playing London Bridge is falling down as part of my preparation for earthquake lessons. Kids love it.

  7. You do have photos of the oldest things I've seen. Not in person, like you, but I do love your sharing these with us (well, actually, I can speak only for myself). Just want you to know how much I appreciate seeing the world through your lens!

  8. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, Al. That means more to me than you know.

This is a wonderful photo. I love all things vintage--even the color of this picture fills my eyes.
