Independence Pass (October 1995)

Near Aspen, a road goes over Independence Pass, topping out at an elevation of 12,095 feet (3,687 meters) above sea level. If I remember correctly, this photo is a slide taken near the top back in October of 1995.
I'm linking to Vintage Weekly and Our World Tuesday.

  5. Al - I was thinking it snowed overnight! I just saw gentians blooming near my house, so it might only be 6 more weeks until snow flies. We're still getting plenty of rain here in Breckenridge.
