When I was walking around the World Trade Center, it was late enough that the memorial was closed, and this was as close as I could get to the famous pools.
It was very peaceful without all the people.
I still find it terrifying and sobering to think of the terrible events that took place here.
Love your first photo! Great perspective.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the WTC in the night.
ReplyDeleteThe events that happened at the WTC will always be remembered much as Pearl Harbor is remembered. Your photos are quiet and dignified.
ReplyDeleteVery well expressed Al.
ReplyDeletevery beautiful nightlights
ReplyDeleteYour photos are very poignant. Last time I was in NYC I did not make it down to this site. I only saw it from afar. It is terrifying still to think of that horrific day.
ReplyDeleteIt is terrifying to think of and maybe especially in contrast to the peaceful scene that you show here now... we never know!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. A bit eerie to see the empty foundations surrounded by towers of lights.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful captures of the Trade Center and the pool. The perspective from which you were shooting was excellent. It is one again a beautiful place. We lost a family member by marriage on that horrible day sho was at work with Canter Fitzgerald. The day is still very alive in my mind. genie
ReplyDeleteGreat photos around the World Trade Center, Al!
ReplyDeleteSure, how terrible events that took place there...
