Avila Beach, Central California

The last time I was in central California I spent a couple of hours exploring the area around Avila Beach.
I always love being near the ocean and I'll miss having an excuse to visit this area.
I'll still be able to look back on my photos.

  1. Hello, Al--these beach photos are wonderful. I am fortunate in that I live 45 minutes from the beach, and hour from the mountains, and an hour and a half from the desert. :D Oregon is a wonderful place.

Your pictures of the beach in California make me long to hop into my car and head for the beach. Have a lovely day, my Friend.

  4. I lived by the Atlantic Ocean for most of my life so I know how you feel, Al. An ocean visit and good seafood is always a welcome activity.

  6. You don't need any excuse to visit the ocean. I am a city girl but I have to visit the sea every few months. Your photos are a close second though.

  8. Avila Beach is one of my favorite coastal towns in California. It is low profile so not a lot of people go there. You can find a place to stay or a place to camp even on holiday weekends. #OurWorldTuesday

  9. Hi Al, you said you love being near the ocean, but why are you living on the mountains? hahaha. I love those pictures too, but i prefer the trees than the water.

  10. Beautiful beach and one I'm not at all familiar with.... I guess somebody in your family used to live there but have now moved? You could still visit even without an excuse you know ;>)... I don't think it is a California requirement.
