Wild Sky

The timing on this post is unfortunate given what's going on around Los Angeles, but this isn't fire, just clouds lit up from beneath by the sun around sunset. This is another shot straight out of the camera, all I did was reduce the resolution for posting on the blog.

  1. Wonderful sunset shot. We do not get sunsets like this.

  2. What an inferno glow to that sky! Wonderful shot!
Terrible fires in CA - close to my cousin, so we are hoping they are safe.

  3. Magnificent sunset Al, the fires are so shocking in California, my heart goes out to them ✨

  4. Really a beautiful shot! Glad to hear it's not related to the fires. I've lived in S CA most of my life and never seen anything as bad as what we are currently experiencing.

  5. This looks like it was a spectacular sunset, AL! So sad to see the fires in LA. As Coloradans we know that can easily happen here.

  6. It is an amazing sunset, but yes, I wish the red glow in the California skies today was from this source and not that other.

  7. So beautiful Al...
We had record rains at this time last year. This year, nothing! The news isn't even really covering the smaller fires. They are all over the place.

  8. That is so beautiful - although, I have to admit, after seeing those horrible wildfire photos (I know someone whose daughter lives in one of the cities devastated by the previous fires)I may never look at orange skies in the same way again. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  9. Glorious shot...I imagine the sun was probably already below the horizon.
