Yosemite Streams

Last time we were in California we took a day to explore Yosemite. It was overcrowded (they need to start limiting visitor numbers), but still worth the trip. I'll start my posts with some streams. I've got several more posts from Yosemite planned so stay tuned...
The natural beauty really is amazing.
Everywhere you look there's something to see.
And of course, those famous rock faces are everywhere!

  1. Magnificent, Al! I am astounded at the huge rocks and lush trees and bushes. I'm grateful that you shared them here on Blogger with us. Greetings Jo

  2. A national park I've always wanted to visit, but yes, the stories of huge crowds kind of deter me.

  3. Yosemite Valley is an amazing place as your fine photos show. Look forward to seeing more.

  6. I agree with you about limiting the number of people entering. I hear that Muir Woods outside of San Francisco, another popular tourist attraction, is now just taking reservations. I think you cannot walk in any more.

    Worth a Thousand Words

  7. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I haven't visited in over 20 years. Seeing your photos tells me I need to something about that.

  8. I love Yosemite! I have visited in summer so, I have experienced the crowds. I hope to visit during a different season. The park's high country (we went too) do not get as crowded as the Valley (and it id supper beautiful).

  9. We traveled to California many times when we lived in Oregon and but always skipped Yosemite because we heard how crowded it always was (and we traveled pretty much exclusively in the Summer in those days)... then after we started RVing we did go there one April -- before the rush -- and it wasn't too bad -- but still an awful lot of people. It is just too close to major population areas. Anyway, though, as you say it is stunningly beautiful.
