Here's a Skywatch Friday photo from a recent visit to downtown Boston.

And here's a bonus photo of the 15 inches (38 cm) of snow we got at our house here in Colorado last week.

Lake Ashi

After visiting Mount Fuji, our tour took us to Lake Ashi.

The setting was gorgeous and there were some interesting ships on the lake.

We took a cruise, but on a smaller boat.

The beauty was uniquely Japanese.

Next week I'll show you the final sights from this tour, when we went up a mountain.

Here's another Skywatch Friday shot of that spectacular sunrise over New York City, taken when we flew through Newark.

Sandwich, Massachusetts

The town of Sandwich, Massachusetts is famous for its boardwalk.

Settled in 1637, it's the oldest town on Cape Cod.

The boardwalk goes over this inlet, and the area has a unique beauty.

This lovely beach is at the end of the boardwalk.

We didn't spend long here because there was rain on the way.

But I'm glad we made the small detour to see it.

We certainly don't have terrain like this here in Colorado!
