Mount St. Helens, 1986 (1)
When we were there back in 1986 the mountain was fogged in, so all we could see was the destruction from the famous 1980 eruption.

Hakone Komagatake Ropeway
The Hakone Komagatake Ropeway (箱根駒ヶ岳ロープウェー) climbs from Lake Ashi to Mount Komagatake.
It opened in 1963, and the top station looks like it. But it's in Japan so I'm sure it's safe.
The views from the top are wonderful.
Despite the growing clouds, Lake Ashi is clear.
There's a small temple near the top.
This is definitely worth doing if you're in that part of Japan.
