Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Here's another picture from a summer storm, in fact the same storm which spawned the lightning that hit the tree across the road.

Great (and dangerous) sky. Loved the picture of the lightning!
Great shots. Beautiful Nature.
Love this shot - the clouds are so impressive!
And your lightening shot was awesome!
Very impressive shot of that storm Alastair. Your SWF host capture is absolutely amazing!
Storms are some of my favorite skyscapes. I love your lightning shot on the SWF Command Center. I'm curious how dark it actually was when you took that one. I've always shot lightning at night when I could use the "bulb" exposure without overexposing. That shot looks like it might have been taken at twilight, or even before then, so I'm curious to know if it was actually as early as it appears to be or if the long exposure just turned night into day.
Regardless, it's a phenomenal capture!
Wha a great skywatch shot.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Absolutely stunning. A wedge of cloud like I've never seen before.
Some Storm shot...very great shot.

I like that you have taken a photo of the lightning - very good. I want to try to do it one day.
I have also seen the beautiful sunset/rise? a few post below and the thunder cloud.
And you like me want to get close to things in nature and take photos of them, MB
Great shot. Almost looks like a boot. I also love your shot on the skywatch home page.

WOW!!!!!
That photo where you were the guest on SWF was just awesome. Did you have your camera ready once it started to rain?
Amazing storm photo.
That looks like one of those 'twister' things that happen. A b it like out of the Wizad of Oz. Looks very stormy.
