Inspiration Point (Yellowstone)

Near where the Yellowstone River goes down two large waterfalls are two overlooks, one on either side of the canyon. Both were among my favorite places in Yellowstone, and here are a couple of shots from the northern one to illustrate why. This one is known as Inspiration Point.

  9. Totally wonderful shots. I also love the Yellowstone river views. My shots from inspiration are rather blah, but Artist point has treated me quite well..... I'll have to post one for "Scenic Sunday" tomorrow!

  10. Al these photos look like one of those vintage postcards from the 40's. as if time stood still. you've done it justice, as these are fabulous shots. you've captured the vastness of it all. the light and color of the river water is divine. well done.

  12. I just left a message on the Blue Lion Blog about this area! I almost posted a picture too...maybe next week from an even different angle.

This was a very beautiful area. We walked the canyon and they did a loop back through the forest where there were some thermal features. I would love to return one day.
