Yellowstone's Artist Point

The view at Artist Point in Yellowstone must not be missed. It's one of the best views I've ever seen anywhere, and neither words nor photographs can do it justice. But here's my attempt to show it, for the wonderful Scenic Sunday meme.

  3. where were you standing?

    WOW!!!

I've to Niagara falls but that was ancient times before I started taken photos. Your photo is fantastic, capturing the fall completely.

  4. Majestic (might be an understatement) scene. You've done it justice. I see the raw power.

Thanks for dropping by. I favor prime lenses. I've been doing most of my shooting with 24, 28, 35 and 50. I decided to look at the world through moderate tele for awhile. Way back in 1970, my 105mm Super Takumar was the normal lens on my Spottie.

  10. Al...first of all, thank you for finding my Journal and leaving a comment. When I look at your blog I see so many connections. My son-in-law just completed a job on the "Cosmopolitan" after working on it's twin towers for 3 years (Las Vegas-next to "Bellagio") and he and his family are from Croatia (your picture below of the harbor).

    Outstanding shots on both blogs.

  11. Oh my...! It's like my eyes cannot believe what they see!! What a huge waterfall and so lovely! I can face the trees in comparing, so small they become to the waterfall! =)

    Gorgeous!! :)

  17. We loved it too; your pictures turned out much better than ours. While ours always bring back the memories, I do want to go back to Yellowstone someday.

We are excited to be going a bit further north to Glacier NP in September. I may looked to upgrade the camera before then as I am hoping for some fabulous landscapes to capture.
