Air Force One

Arguably the biggest attraction at the Ronald Reagan Library & Museum is Air Force One. Obviously it's not the current one, but it was in service from 1973 to 2001 and carried Presidents Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton and George W. Bush.
While you can walk through it (a fascinating experience where the history is palpable), photos are not allowed within, so all I have are these exterior shots.
There's also a Marine One, the helicopter that flies the President.

  6. That was really interesting. I would love to see the inside of Air Force 1! I did see it in the sky once, leaving an airport. Probably the closest I'll ever get!

  12. In Tucson we visited the air and space museum and saw the plane that was President Eisenhower's. I know what you mean by the sense of history being palpable (though I would rather see this later version).

  15. Nice photos of presidential aircraft. I'll bet that Marine One was the same helicopter that President Nixon entered when he left the White House in disgrace. Yes, a great deal of history.

  17. Really nice photos Al. Especially of AF1. I hate it when the ban photos at various places. In a technical sense, there is no reason for it.
