Sausalito

Across the bay from San Francisco, the small town of Sausalito makes a great day trip.
It's very picturesque, sitting by the water and rising up into the hills.
Boats are easy to spot.
And on a clear day the city of San Francisco can be seen from the area, across the bay.

    Always had a soft spot for Sausalito. Once spent a pleasant afternoon with friends in the No Name Bar after walking past many of the house boats tied up there.

    I've been fortunate to visit Sausilito! I enjoyed the ride across the bay on the ferry to go there.

    Great photos Al. Sausalito is a great place to visit. It's funny that most people consider San Francisco to be in northern California. It's really the upper middle of the state. Once you go over the bridge (or take the ferry to Sausalito), you actually in the northern part of the state. At least, that is how we look at it.
