Old Mountain Skies

From sometime in the mid-1990s, here's an old scanned photo for Skywatch Friday and Vintage Weekly. It's the Maroon Bells, near Aspen, Colorado.

    Oh the layers or mineral deposits in those rocks are so interesting. And the events that it went through millions of years seem so regular.
