Mount Herman Road

I recently went for a hike up a nearby mountain, Mount Herman. To get to the trailhead you take a dirt road along the side of the mountain, and it started out foggy.
But I climbed out of the clouds, and looking back it was a lovely sight.
This shot more clearly shows you the road where I had been driving a few minutes before.
The trail up the mountain is quite steep in places.
In fact at times it doesn't seem like a trail at all!
Come back in a couple of days and I'll show you some photos from the top. In the meantime visit Our World Tuesday for lots of other views of our incredible world.

  1. A hike worthy of a true adventurer! What a sight it must be in person being up so high and seeing the fog like a misty lake below.

  6. I love all the mist on the trail. Did it interfere with your hike at all? You probably know the trails like the back of your hand.

  7. Lovely captures of the fog/mist/cloud Al. I too enjoy the atmosphere such climatic conditions create. Thank you for sharing.

  10. Almost like pictures taken from a plane -- looking down on the clouds! But you worked a lot harder (but how well worthwhile). A beautiful hike.

  12. Al - your poor car! I bet it needed a bath when you got home. Love the foggy shots.

  13. I love hiking in trails with clouds below me! Once we were on top or roof of a jeepney to get a full view of the landscape, and it really was scary on a rough road like that. I haven't done that again, as we had to travel far to our Cordilleras to experience that.
