View Through Nobel Gate

My last Vintage Weekly post showed Holland's Nobel Gate; this week I'm looking through that gate. It's fun going through old photos - these are from 1977!

Two States

From a 2013 trip, here's a view from Long Island (New York state) over to Connecticut on a clear day. Those buildings are probably Stamford, almost 13 miles away.

Sausalito

Across the bay from San Francisco, the small town of Sausalito makes a great day trip.

It's very picturesque, sitting by the water and rising up into the hills.

Boats are easy to spot.

And on a clear day the city of San Francisco can be seen from the area, across the bay.
