Hoodoos and Views

Just a few miles down the interstate in northern Colorado Springs is the Pulpit Rock park - the main rock formation is clearly visible as you drive by. At the top are various spires which probably qualify as hoodoos.
Even the non-hoodoo rocks are interesting and varied.
And the views are great! The interstate is visible in this picture, starting in the middle-right of the photo and leading left and slightly up.
This makes a nice off-season hike - it's not very long, and because it's lower altitude it's often free of snow. And it's my Scenic Sunday post for the week.

Oh, and scenic it is! What a beautiful place, Al! Love those incredible blue skies! Wish I was there right now as I look out my rain splashed window!! Have a great weekend!

Looks like hoodoos to me, plus more great erosion. Nice to get out where there is no snow. Feels like summer in S TX.

We used to hike there ... it always seemed to be way less crowded than Garden of the Gods. It truly is beautiful up there!

My summer trip to CO will be a quick one this year, and this makes me look forward to it even more. Thank you for the comment; I hadn't heard wildfires were at it already. Sad.

Amazing rock formations! These remind me of Capadoccia in Turkey.
