Today's Scenic Sunday post highlights some city scenery, this time in Vancouver. The most recent Winter Olympics were held there, and here are a couple of photos of the Olympic Cauldron, in the downtown area by the waterfront.
Stop by on Monday to see this at night, when it's illuminated very nicely.

ReplyDeleteI watched the Olympics religiously and I do remember this from the opening/closing ceremonies! I love your first photo with all the buildings behind it!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous captures, Al, as always! I, too, love the play of light on the buildings in the first shot. Hope you and Socks have a great weekend! Have fun!!

I like the close up view.
ReplyDeleteIs it not lit up as an eternal flame?
Lovely pictures! :) I'm not so interested in watching sport games, so I did not follow it much.. But I saw the town and surroundings (right, on TV)

All very futuristic. The cauldron seems to have worn better than some Olympic leftovers.
ReplyDeleteGreat angles in your pics -very daring:)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. The second is fantástic!
ReplyDeleteThe buildings feel nearly as if they were alive.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good Sunday.
