Here's the view from my deck this morning. I always love that first autumn snow.
Snow isn't unusual at our altitude this time of year. But once the storm moves out, those beautiful blue Colorado skies should return for the whole week!

I like this photo, Al!
ReplyDeleteNice weekend.
Gorgeous! Makes me miss the years I lived in Montana! I remember going with my kids on their paper route very, very early in the morning after a snow and it was as if we were the only people in the world -- not another footstep anywhere and we would find ourselves whispering because it was SO quiet! Thanks for the lovely memories, Al! Have a wonderful day! Hope you and Socks get to play in the snow before it disappears!

Wow, that's a beautiful capture! I love snow and can't wait for the first snow this season. We are dtill in the middle of autumn and there are more golden leaves left.

Wow! It's very nice to see snow in this season.
ReplyDeleteCiao
Oh! It snowed. Beautiful. The first time we visited Colorado -- after our kids moved there it snowed hard in September. That was our first long trip with the RV and I thought we'd be marooned there all winter. (Now I know how changeable the weather can be.)
ReplyDeleteI almost checked the calender to make sure it was still October. It makes me shiver already! :D
ReplyDeleteAl, you have a beautiful view from your deck!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be there to see this amazing view in person.
(Did you know that I never saw snow in person?)
What a joy the first snow is! So nice to see where you live and that you have some space around you. Like Sylvia, I too have great memories of snow from my childhood and again when we spent 3 years in Montreal. It is the different light as you wake ul and the total hush tat has fallen on the earth that lingers in memory and is a balm to the soul . . . until you start thinking about having to shovel your way out!
