Paris at Night

Ok, this isn't really Paris. This week's PicStory theme is "gold or silver" and I thought this shot of the Paris Casino's replica Eiffel Tower lit up at night would fit the bill. It's also a part of Our World Tuesday.

  1. Terrific capture, Al! And it surely lit up my gray, gloomy morning! It's still nearly pitch dark and it's after 7 AM!!!! Hope your week is of to a great start!

  9. Gustav Eiffel was an engineer whose artistry shows up in the beautiful tower. Whether in Paris (wife and daughter have see the tower live) or in Vegas, the laced iron is quite a beauty!

  10. Las Vegas is on my bucket list. I have to be the oldest guy in the country who wants to go who hasn't been.

  16. Beautiful shot, it wasn't there when I visited Las Vegas in 1985, we stayed at the Showboat, but I believe that is long gone now.

  17. Al, regarding asking permission when I took pics at the War Weekend, I think as you said it was probably not necessary as it was a public event, with camera's popping everywhere, but as I wanted to use them on a blog I felt it was courtesy to ask first. Only one person said no, as he is under a theatrical agency contract.
Next year it takes place on the 12th, 13th. and 14th. of October.
