South Korean Palace Courtyard

Continuing with the photos from a palace in Seoul, South Korea, here is the courtyard. Each of the markers indicates where a specific courtier would be expected to stand as the royals went by.

  1. I think what strikes me is it is so empty. There is an almost eerie feeling here, like the ghosts of those courtiers are still standing at their posts (hey, is that where that phrase came from???).

  2. Hey Al, I just visited Tamera over at CS Daily Photo - she posted this morning that there is a huge forest fire just west of COS; Manitou Springs has been evacuated??? I hope and pray you are not in harms way.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people and critters who call this beautiful region home and are affected by this horrible disaster.

  5. what a beautiful structure. love how they show the position of each person with the stones. gives one a since of what it would have been like when occupied. have a great night~
