Vancouver's Chinatown

For this week's Our World Tuesday post, here are the last of the photos from last year's brief visit to Vancouver, complete with classic grey skies. These are of the city's Chinatown area.
To an Englishman this is fairly exotic, so I'm also linking the post to Tina's PicStory weekly theme of "exotic."

  3. Ah, yes! The grey skies of the northwest!! Great shots for the day, Al, I particularly like the colorful second shot -- helps you to forget the grey! And guess what? It's gray and raining today!! Well, at least we are also GREEN, which is beautiful! Hope you have a great week!

  6. It is, as Lady Fi says, a very modern looking Chinatown. There is a gate like the one in your first photo in London's Chinatown - but not as big.

  9. Since red is one of my very favorite colors (it's so cheery), it makes me happy that the Chinese consider it a lucky color.
    beautiful photos, Al!

  12. Thank you for this adventure. Wonderful where alike is possible. China Town, or at least what I thought of it to be, finds itself in the most dangerous part of the city over here.

  13. Lovely photos Al. I've just made two trips to Chinatown in the last two weeks. That's more than I usually do in two years, lol.
