Black Forest Skies

Nothing spectacular for Skywatch Friday this week, just some pleasant skies from the nearby Black Forest Regional Park where Socks and I went for a hike last weekend. As you can see, most of the snow is gone.
There were some clouds off in the distance, but it was a beautiful day.
And remember, never look into the Sun. Otherwise you might get a strange spot in your photo, and other bad things!
I'll never tire of all the incredible blue skies we get here in Colorado - I've never lived anywhere else like this. For lots of lovely skies, visit the Skywatch Friday meme.

Hiya Al,

Never mind the photo: Beware of getting it in your EYE.
Very important warning indeed. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, as it is so easy to get carried away.

Hiding behind a tree helps :-)
Is that what you did for that third image?

Thank your for sharing that blue sky with us all.

I would like to be there in amongst the trees looking up at the sky. :)

I love the flare in the last one!
The strange 'spot' is probably if you are using a UV filter on your lens. I know I do when taking moon photos.

Yes...looking into the sun can also damage your cameras sensors too...scary.

I am trying to absorb some much-needed vitamin D from your photos.

Neither do I. I can never get OD'd on Colorado skies, so keep 'em coming.

So true about the blue skies. It's so calming to look up when there's no cloud in sight. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo ready for that.
