Reeds

We have a little water on our property, enough that reeds grow in places (this isn't common where we live). For this week's Skywatch Friday post, here is a lovely Colorado blue sky taken through these reeds, back in the summer.

Near the sea, where I live, we can find this plant.

What terrific captures, Al!! I love your composition -- as always! Beautiful reeds and, OH! that BLUE sky!! Hope your skies look better than ours do today! Quite a storm over 2 inches of rain in 24 hours!
Enjoy your day! Give Socks a pat!

Beautiful and colorful!:) We do have these over here as well, but not exactly at the place I'm now staying.. To be exact - I haven't seen them for quite a time..

What beautiful colors, in my country the rains have started and unfortunately there have been deaths due to bad weather!

These are such sturdy reeds. We don't seem them often in Scotland - they always strike me as being the 'classic' reed.

We used to have reeds near lakes in Michigan. They look gorgeous against the blue sky!
