For this week's Tina's PicStory theme of "leafs" as well as my weekly Our World Tuesday post, here's a photo from the middle of October showing a river of bright yellow aspen leaves, taken on a hike above the Palmer Lake Reservoirs.
Of course, these bright colors are long-gone.

Whats for a golden light! I like this.

I love the way the splashes of yellow create rivers of color through the green.
What a great way to pick out the Aspen from the other trees!
The thread of gold passing through the green adds such a lovely contrast of color to the forest environment. :)
Very lovely capture - how pretty and stark!
The Rockies offer a sea of green, the evergreens predominate. However, the brilliant aspen appears as a rapids flowing strongly through the sea. It stands out for sure!
Visiting from Our World Tuesday ...it was so nice to see the Aspens looking so healthy! I know form my kids who both live in Colorado that there was concern about them, and pine trees not doing well the past few seasons.
great shot! the different colors look really wonderful. thanks for sharing with picstory :)
Just lovely and a wonderful view of the Aspens. One of my favorite trees. Have a great week and Happy THanksgiving.
I love this river of gold!
Beautiful, like a golden waterfall!
That is lovely designer yellow patch in the between the greesns.
I guess they're just waiting for someone who would capture them before they'll be gone...it's lovely!
That is so beautiful, if the same scene is here that means the trees are dying or infected because our trees are green all the time.
Oh wow this is remarkable! Thanks for the visit!
what an interesting picture and lovely colours.
What a creative and colourful pic!
What a beautiful shot. The aspens looks like a river of gold flowing through the evergreens.
You are far up here.. and had a fantastic view to the forest! So fun to see all the yellow deciduous trees among the spruce trees (I hope you can understand my English.. this is good training to me..!)
:))))
Whoa! What is that! A lovely sight!
Awesome view Al !
So beautiful to see a river of bright yellow aspen leaves... Great shot!
Greetings from Holland,

Interesting shot, like the tone of the yellow against the greens:)
Those aspen trees look stunning amidst the green forest.
That is absolutely incredible. The perfect aspen shot.
