Yellowstone's Silex Spring and Fountain Paint Pots

Next to the roads in Yellowstone are various boardwalks that take you on short walks to interesting sights. For this week's Scenic Sunday post, here are a couple of photos from one of these boardwalks. First up is the Silex Spring.
And here are the Fountain Paint Pots, bubbling mud pots. They're much more impressive in person than in this photo.
There was more to see from this boardwalk, particularly the fabulous Fountain Geyser, but that's for another post.

  5. Beautiful shots that bring back memories. I visited Yellowstone once and would give a lot to come back. Trouble is that all journey that passes Yellowstone just stays there for one night. That is too short. I could use a week there. :)

  8. I loved all of the thermal features at Yellowstone (not so much the smell). You often found yourself trying to peer over the edge a little more to see how far down you could see. Beautiful photo!

  10. The turqoise colour of the water is really amazing! I didn't visit the Yellowstone but I saw a similar place in Costa Rica near the Arenal vulcano, so I can imagine how impressive were the bubbling mud spots.

Have a delightful Sunday, ciao! :)

  11. This is simply adorable. We had the Pink terrace, but an earthquake came, and everyhting is gone.
