Air Force Falcon

The mascot at the Air Force Academy is the falcon, and they have several live ones. Here is a young one, on his trainer's hand. These are flash photos taken at night.

Gorgeous pictures of the falcon! A beautiful bird I think! :)

And I like your flowers from the Botanic Garden, very lovely!

And WoW- the lightning- absolutely gorgeous!! I know how difficult it is to fasten the lightning to the memory chip, but you've made it! Well done! :)

The bird looks very serious, but cute at the same time.

Wonderful pictures -- their eyes are so intelligent looking! Must have been great to watch what I assume was a training exercise.

Aha, so that's why the bird is keeping still enough for you to shoot.

It's a splendid picture.

This is an impressive photograph considering it was taken at night! The young bird is adorable but nonetheless shows its true hunter potential with its unyielding stare.

Do they also use them to keep the runways clear of birds?
