Grey Waterfront Fountain

Here's another grey-sky shot from our Seattle trip. This is Waterfront Fountain, in Waterfront Park, in Seattle. For some reason, the F-shape makes me think of Facebook, even though I'm one of the few people on the planet who doesn't use it. And yes, this was taken in the rain, as were many of my Seattle photos this spring.
This is in memory of Klaus Peter, one of the maintainers of the Skywatch Friday meme.

  1. Great shot, Al, and it does look like Seattle, that's for sure! Just so you'll know, Sandy and I are going to continue with My World (now it will be called Our World) and I'll be posting more about that later today. Hope your week is going well!

  15. Beautiful action shot. I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on. I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

  16. Fountains do sometimes seem like overkill in the rainy Pacific Northwest! But Seattle is a great City as long as you don't mind getting a little damp.

  17. Interesting shot. I remember Seattle well, the rainy 'days off' we ex-motel managers spent there, occasionally getting a sneak-peak of Mt. Ranier. I also remember a T-shirt I sent to my son in the UK that had 'I come from Seattle but live in Galoshes' printed on it!
