Red Rock Canyon Quarry
For this week's Scenic Sunday post, I'm taking a break from Bellevue and going back to October of last year for some shots of the Red Rock Canyon quarry, taken right around sunrise during an early-morning hike. I started before the sun was up to try to capture that great early morning light.
This is a great off-season hike because it's lower in elevation, so it's generally free of snow, and in town, so it's close.

The rock is such a lovely shade of red and looks perfect with the blue sky!
The red rocks, the blue skies, and the light and shadows on the rocks are beautiful.
We've visited that gorgeous area a couple of times with our kids. The words 'lower in elevation' explain why they like to take us lowlanders there. Your pictures are beautiful.
Sometimes I'm just swept away by how beautiful nature can be. These photos are gorgeous, Al. Love the light and the color of the canyon walls.
