For Skywatch Friday, here are two of my favorite balloons from last month's balloon festival here in Colorado Springs.
This next one is the old woman who lived in a shoe (an old nursery rhyme) - it was the biggest balloon there as you can tell by looking at the people beneath it.

Oh, these are terrific, Al!! I do love balloons and these top them all!! How fun!! I've been for a balloon ride and loved every minute, but it wasn't a fancy one like these!! Thanks for sharing and for the smiles! Hope your week is going well!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Such cool shapes!
ReplyDeleteYes those balloon designs are so lovely. Have you ever ride on them too? When i went to Bagan, Myanmar i am wishing that the balloons are there to see, but we didn't. I just saw them in photos superimposed on the temple areas.
ReplyDeleteThose are great looking balloons. The Old Lady in the Shoe is really surprising. Given its irregular shape I wonder how it flies. Apparently just fine. Fun photos.
ReplyDeleteThese have to be two of the most interesting I've seen. I think the jester is my favourite. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFun, wonderful balloons! We went to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in the 80s. Great experience! May have to check it out again, or this one in CO now that we are back in the west!
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteSydney – City and Suburbs
Fun affair. Wish I'd be able to personally see these kinds someday.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Both great. Balloon feats are fun ... And those big ones take a lot of people working together as your photo interestingly shows.
ReplyDeleteThose are fun looking balloons. I find hot air balloons fascinating but only ever managed to go to one hot air balloon festival in Gatineau, Quebec one year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and unique balloons.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, love them both!
ReplyDeleteWow, talk about a really great photo opportunity!! These are great shots.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute ones!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could photograph them . :)
How wonderfully cheerful!
ReplyDeleteEvery time you are amazed by what form those balloons have. Very funny to see. Thanks for showing us.
